CSA News
Dear Folks,
Here we are past the winter Solstice (the first day of spring for some of us farmers) and already into a new year. We want to thank you for your patronage last year. We are very grateful to you. The success of our experiment with launching our weekly produce box program exceeded all of our expectations. We hope you enjoyed the produce.
We are already at work performing more than a hundred germination tests on our inventory of the seeds we have saved (and which will be available for sale online starting in February - visit https://bz-permaculture-farm-
We look forward to an even more abundant 2024 season and we hope you will share the abundance through our weekly produce box again this year. We will open the sign-up for the CSA in February and we'll send you the link you can use to order. You need not sign up right away, but if you do, that provides us with much-needed start-up funds at a time in the season when incoming revenue is sparse while expenses are high. The first boxes will go out on July 3 and continue every Wednesday with the last boxes going out on Oct. 30. You can order one box at a time as the season unfolds or for as many weeks in advance as you desire.
Also, we want to let you know that we are now the BZ Permaculture Farm Collective, a non-profit mutual benefit corporation. Our aim is to benefit our member farmers with income while we benefit our local community with farm-fresh, nutrient dense, naturally-grown, affordable produce. We call our weekly box program the BZ Farm Wednesday CSA, which stands for Community Supported Agriculture, because without you, it would not be possible.
Please let your friends know about the Wednesday CSA. You can direct them to our web page that describes the program at https://bzfarm.org/wednesday-
Again, thank you for your patronage and we hope you had a warm and safe holiday season with your loved ones.
Yours Truly,
Bezaleel Israel (BZ)
