This is the compost pile Chrys built in April from the bedding from the duck house that accumulated during the winter. Watered and later mulched, it was ready to use by July. Chrys doesn't turn compost piles, instead he periodically uses a crowbar to open air holes in the pile. He waters the pile occasionally too.
